Hello all,

A friend of mine reported a bug bite that happened many, many years ago that resulted in a huge rash and a severe decline in her health since then.

I think she was bitten by a tick and that she has Lyme Disease. She grew up in NY state. She has never seen a Lyme-literate doctor or been diagnosed with Lyme Disease.

The complicating factor is that she has Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Just this year, she finally began treatment for that. I think she has the Borrelia infection and possibly Babesia (she has a lot of breathing problems).

Do you know of any Lyme-literate doctors in Buffalo, NY or nearby? It is really hard for her to travel. It would be helpful if they could work with her environmental medicine doctor since she is chemically sensitive.

Thank you,
electrolite

PM sent for NY.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/newyorklyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

Please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.

Thank you, hopingandpraying. I appreciate all of the information and links. It's been so long since I posted on Lymenet that I totally forgot about breaking up my paragraphs. Oops! I can do that now.
