When you call for an appointment, ask if they have cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
Dr. H, the top Lyme doctor, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

I can give you the name of a lyme doctor in NJ, but not in southern NJ.
Do you want the name?
What you will learn is that good lyme doctors are few and far between. About half of all lyme patients go out of state for their treatment.
So, traveling is the norm for a lyme patient. Many have to fly to see their doctor. The top doctors will do telephone appointments after the first in person appointment. So, many people are traveling great distances.
You can also contact all the lyme support groups in your state and surrounding states and ask them for names and patient experiences. See "Support Groups" on the left side of the page.
Before you spend a lot of money on a lyme doctor, do an awful lot of research. Many have had bad experiences. Don't want you to spend all of your money and still be sick and also poor.
There are a number of lyme doctors in NJ, but only one that I half-heartedly recommend. The rest I recommend you stay away from.
So, I recommend you talk with a number of lyme patients that have been around for a while and get their opinions on any doc you are considering. I have lots of patient reports on NJ doctors. That is how I have formed my opinions of them. Let me know if I can help you.
