Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for FL.
When you call for an appointment, ask if they have cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
Dr. H, the top Lyme doctor, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

littl-bit,
I live in Sarasota, too. I was diagnosed about a year ago in Penna but moved to Sarasota since then.
We have a monthly support group for lyme that meets here as well as a facebook page for lyme patients that speaks openly about doctors and treatment.
I will send you a message about docs here and protocol.
