Hi! I had RMSF when I was nine - almost forty now! I've always had all these things - joints hurt, fatigue, etc... I found Dr. H's book at the library and am really excited by it. I would love to find a doctor like that, but money is definitely an issue here. Any ideas, please?

Thank you!

Welcome to Lymenet!

Unfortunately, the top Lyme doctors don't take insurance and they are expensive.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/northcarolinalyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Yes, Dr. H's book, "Why Can't I Get Better?", is an excellent source of information. He is the top LLMD.
