apj1010 - no, GA is not "Lyme-less", as you put it. The politics surrounding this disease and its complex treatment, which includes long-term antibiotic use, have made a hostile climate for those brave doctors willing to go on the front lines and treat very sick people.

They themselves are persecuted, a real "witch-hunt", and some have closed their practices, been dragged through the courts, lost their licenses and even committed suicide! This is the reason Lyme-literate doctors (LLMDs) are far and few between.

Getting personal references from people is the best route to proceed as well as contacting your state's Lyme Support Groups. Here are some links:

We hear that in just about every state. "There's no Lyme disease here." No one wants to diagnose or treat it.
