poster gonnakicklyme is from Tenn; had a lousy lyme doctor there. Dr. N. She warned us all about him.

Alabama:

And, there is now no lyme doctor that I recommend in Florida now that Dr. C has retired.

Generally, once you travel south of Washington, D.C. there are very few lyme doctors here on the east coast. So, these folks are traveling at least to D.C. to get their care.

If you want a name, let me know. You can do phone and skype appointments after the initial in-person appointment.

Glad you are willing to travel. And, welcome to LymeNet!!! We will help you here all we can.

To contact me, just click on the envelope icon above my post. Then, we can talk privately and I can give you doctors' names.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for FL.

No LLMDs in GA, TN, AL or SC - they are far and few between, unfortunately!

When you call for an appointment, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/georgialyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups):

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Actually there is a LLMD in TN. If you use Facebook, you can post questions for local help.
