I'd like to find an LLMD or otherwise qualified physician who treats Lyme disease in the tristate area (OH, KY and IN). I currently live in Cincinnati and work in Kentucky. While it may not be likely that any will accept insurance, I would appreciate a referral to such an LLMD. I will accept any referral regardless of willingness to accept insurance so please send me referrals to anyone in or near the greater Cincinnati area. If necessary, I can travel to an LLMD within OH, KY or IN. Thanks!

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for IN & OH.

I don't know of any LLMDs in KY.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:

Check the online state Lyme groups at:

Maybe they can help.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
