Does anyone know a great lyme literate opthamologist in CT or NY? My dearest friend is experiencing retinal issues due to fluid buildup - due to her lyme. She's lost significant peripheral vision in one eye due to this.
Thanks in advance for your help!

PM sent with some suggestions.
I don't know of any LL Ophthalmologists in CT or NY.
You should add "CT or NY" in your title so people will know where you are specifically looking. Click on the pencil/paper icon, make your change, then click "Edit post".
Is your friend under the care of a LLMD (Lyme-literate doctor)? Lyme and its co-infections can affect the eyes, so it is very important the patient be treated by a LLMD.
You should contact the Lyme Support Groups for CT & NY. They would have a better idea. I have given you links for them below.
You could also call the Lyme Disease United Coalition at (800) 311-7518. They are very knowledgeable and might know of someone.

We're all different in how we respond to remedies, but in case this might help, I drink mangosteen juice daily which stops all Lyme eye symptoms for me. I like the Mango-Xan version, which is the most tart. It's in healthfood stores and online.

Hi G282:
There is an excellent LL Ophthalmologist in Guilford, CT. He presented at ILAD's last fall in D.C.
