Hi,

I am looking for information on LLMD's in Utah.

I am 26. I was diagnosed in 2006, treated for a couple years and then recovered.

I posted in another section about how for the last 4 years I have been struggling with new health issues which I believe may be either a relapse or re-infection.

The LLMD I saw back in 2006 does not accept insurance. I was in high school then so I was fortunate that my parents could cover the expenses.

Now, however, I can't afford to self-pay for treatment so I'm hoping I can find another option.

Welcome to Lymenet!

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

I am also in Salt Lake city, Utah and also need a Lyme doctor. I have been battling it for 4 years now also. Lymetoo, can you send me that list also?

I'm also looking for a doctor in Utah. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I would love to talk to a LLMD for testing and information. I have found ticks on myself after camping trips in the mountains but never seen a rash. I had a western blot years ago but my family MD just said it was inconclusive.

I'm in Salt Lake City but I travel often, sometimes even to Denver and Idaho.
