My 23 year old son has Chronic Lyme Disease. He was diagnosed 5 years ago and has been treated by a Lyme Literate Doctor in Massachusetts. He had been misdiagnosed for a very long time.

When I moved to Arizona 3 years ago, he stayed in Massachusetts living with his father so he could stay close to his doctor, but now he's going to move to be with me in Arizona. He'll arrive on May 15, 2015.

I need to find a Lyme Literate doctor in Arizona. I live in Prescott, but we can travel anywhere in AZ. It's not a common illness in AZ. If we need to travel out of state, we'll do that too.

Hoping to receive some recommendations.

Thank you,
Carol

I'll get back to you tomorrow... PM me if I forget. I have a name for you, but need to ask a friend for the info.

You only have basically one Dr there.

befourLyme - you need to write a new post instead of adding on to an existing one. That way, more people will see it and respond because most don't re-read old posts.

PM sent for AZ.

CarolW - PM sent for AZ.

They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
