My friend's sister is looking for an LLMD in Arkansas. She's been sick for many years, lived in the Hudson River Valley, and has Lyme-like symptoms but has never been diagnosed.
Thanks in advance for any leads.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MO & IA.
Your friend's sister needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
When calling for an appointment, have her ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Zoe - please send us the name of the LLMD in AR and any additional information you have about him/her i.e. patients reviews, how long treating Lyme, has he/she been able to get many patient well, does this LLMD follow Dr. B's Guidelines (=the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment), etc. We will add it to our lists.
Those of us who voluntarily send out information to help others do not have all the names or are aware of all the LLMDs out there. Some states actually do not have any LLMDs.
