I am posting to get a recommendation for a friend that I have been try to get on this board. She is quite ill from lymes and had a confirmed igenix test a few years back. She had tried a bunch of treatments, but has not made any progress. She will probably need a doc that can work advanced cases.
She needs a good doc in the Nashville, TN area. I think even KY based would be ok.

That is a bad area for lyme patients. And, if she needs a doc who can handle advanced cases, she definitely will have to travel a good distance--like to Maryland or D.C.

That post told you about Georgia. There are none in Arkansas that I know of.
And, since it is an advanced case, not just any doctor will do.
Contact the lyme support groups in the states you are interested in. See Support Groups on the left side of the page. See what they can tell you.
Some parts of the country are just BAD for finding a lyme doctor.

If you go to www.MarylandLyme.org and look under "Doctor Referrals" (menu to your left) you will find a site with doctor information for the USA, including information on alternative doctors, labs and support groups.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent with names of LLMDs in other states.
Your friend needs to be evaluated and treated by a LLMD. Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
When calling for an appointment, have her ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
