Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for FL.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You both need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients travel out of state for their care.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When you call for an appointment, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:

Maybe they can help you.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a book titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

I am also moving from MD to near Savannah, GA;
(Actually Bluffton; SC).
So I'm worried moving from a Lyme state to a non-Lyme state.
Anyway please pm me or contact me at
[email protected]
(And any PM's I will read as well)

I'm quite concerned because I've bought a mHBOT chamber, but the herx's were so severe (1.3 only!!!). I'm 39.5 and I feel like I'm moving into a hostile almost. I will continue treatments there for as long as it takes.

TheGreek - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should write a new post instead of adding on to an existing one, because most people don't re-read old posts. That way, more will see it and respond.

Also, we communicate via PMs (Private Messages), not e-mail. I would recommend you remove your personal e-mail address from your post, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it.

To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post".

Btw - Lyme can be found in every state in the U.S.A. as well as some countries around the world.

There are no LLMDs in SC. You need to go where they are and at least half of all Lyme patients go out-of-state for their care.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
