Hi again.

It's been years since I pursued my Lyme diagnosis (diagnosed by Dr G **). After several failed attempts of Rx with abx (no effect) I gave up and pursued other avenues. I've gotten gradually worse over the past 5 years since, and have gotten nowhere with other docs.

I have 3 young girls and starting a new job in April, and have a renewed sense of urgency as my health is on a sharp decline.

Looking for someone who sees the whole picture, and not just focused 100% on Lyme. Someone who is interested in root cause treatment, and makes judgements on imperical information.

I've seen Dr H but did not have the $ to join his program.

I hope there are others that have emerged since then. I live in Dover so Seacoast area is preferable, though I will travel for the right doc.

Thanks for your help.

PM sent for NH & ME.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:

"Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance"

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NewHampshireLyme/info

Maybe they can help. They would know better about NH.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.

Also "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
