Hi, I’m a patient who travels to DC for all my tick-born diseases, had no success finding a LL or LF GP near Louisville, KY, close to a decade ago. Moved to RI, their pro long term Lyme treatment law did protect nearly all of my IV treatment from insurance denials and I’ve come a long way. Had to move back to KY this month, and the GP that I was referred to by DC clinic who is LL or LF is not accepting new patients. I come again to you here for direction. My new place to live is semi-rural, and because we have lots of ticks and lots of mice that still need dealing with, I’m a prisoner inside even if I was well enough to just go skip around and enjoy sunshine again. I don’t care if the doctor is an hour away, I need one soon before someone eventually tracks ticks inside. Nearly a decade of treatment, more money and assistance than I ever deserved or thought was possible, can be undone in a single day, even following rules, even just by accident. I’ve had this ruin my life before I was even full grown. Now I’m 41, my biggest life achievements being pain tolerant, and being able to access my powerport by myself without a mirror (device now removed). Very Frightened, and needing a GP badly, CMB Please PM, thank you

So sorry you are going through all of this. Finding a LLMD is very difficult, as they are far and few between. I don't know of any in Kentucky.
Contact the KY Lyme Support Groups - maybe they can help. They would know better about Kentucky.
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the "Edit Post" tab, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

Welcome back C.M.B
I do not know of any LL docs in Kentucky.
I can get you LLMD in Cincinnati, about 2 hours away from you.
These following organizations might be able to find you LLMD in Kentucky.
These are simple e-mail formats that you fill out and they respond with LLMD’s closest to you. There is a message box, where you can write exactly what your needs are. It is important that you research all LLMD’s referred to you. To do this, google for patient reviews or connect with your local Lyme Support group.
