We seem to be losing them. Dr. Z in VA lost her license. Just recently so did Dr. J. Who is replacing them? Any young up and coming ones? Not looking at PAs or NPs.

Many of the top LLMD’s offer physician training courses.
Dr H holds training classes every year and has trained over 200 physicians in the treatment of Tick Born Infections.

Many Lyme organizations are on the fast track to train as many physicians each year due to this epidemic.

Here are a few;

I’ve had new LLMD’s contact me as to how to get their name out to patients.
I cannot advertise or post LLMD’s on LymeNet
I refer them to the above organizations to add their names to the referral lists. I’ve also had LLMD’s contact me about information on Lyme Lawyers, in order to protect their practice. Yes, Lyme lawyers are a thing.

It’s hard to refer a LLMD with only a year or 2 experience to a patient.
Lyme and company is a complex disease and patients want a LLMD with 10 years or more experience, because those are the ones that get patients well.

Hope this helps.

Thought I would add this.

“ Educating 100,000 members of Air National Guard
The end result? Well, you can read the details in the very gracious attached Memorandum of Appreciation.

Big picture: over 100,000 citizen airmen, including over 100 physicians, and 1,000 medical technicians, received the educational training. The sooner our service members are diagnosed, the better the treatment outcomes. This is, indeed, a military readiness issue.

My deepest gratitude to Dr. Russell Kohl for his curiosity and courage, and to my wingmen at LymeDisease.org and The Bay Area Lyme Foundation. Together, we have made a difference.
