As if Mega-Corps don't have enough power in Congress, now they want to charge you extra just to access websites !

Here's the link to help stop the insanity. No doubt this will affect people's ability to access this site as well.

Yes, I posted on this too, in off topic a while back. Anyone who wants an outrage a day does not have to look very hard.

Sometimes I think the voices of the citizens just don't matter anymore at all, and what we have is not a democracy, but something else. Oligarchy? Plutocracy? Crony capitalism?

However, it helps to do something when I feel like that, just in case someone actually listens to us.

I am a skeptic by nature, so I checked into this - it is not a hoax! Here's a a good, very brief history of the issue and the pending congressional action:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_neutrality#History_and_current_status_of_Congressional_bill

And here's the link to the Save The Internet.com organization:

http://www.savetheinternet.com/

Click on the Act Now button in the upper left hand corner for concrete things we can all do.

As if we don't have enough to worry about. Sheesh!
