When I got on line a few mounths ago I look at every LD board I could find, this is where I planted my ass.
This is where I will stay.
That is all I need to say.

Hey You guys and gals out there, So what's wrong with being popular? I just got on last part of 2003 and this seemed like a good place to converse. We here in Tampa have a board but it's in it's infantcy and not enough lymies that are well enough to converse on a daily basis so that's why I am on lymenet board. I hope ours here will be as good as yours someday cuz the list of lymies is growing. Think about all the new englanders and new yorkers retiring here or at least vacationing or snowbirding it down here. There's got to be a statute to pass down here to treat all the snowbirds cuz when I first got down here(still snowbirding) I could'nt get anyone to treat me...even the socalled llmd's would'nt treat me cuz I was'nt a permanent resident like I am now. Talk about "profesional jealousy" or "rivalry" I don't know. It puts the patient once again in the middle and all we want is to get well or continue our treatments while we are down here. Like I said I'm now a permanent fixture down here in Safety Harbor but there are sure enough folks down here from up north where the disease "really comes from" cuz they don't have any "known cases" down here in Florida...dumb denying ducks. my friend Catherine was hiking in St Augustine Park in FLA in the 80's and that is where she got her first lyme infection. she got the bullseye rash, it was dx, but only treated for the "standard care" two weeks and she had neuro-psych symptoms after that she did not know were lyme. then she got bitten again where she lives, long island NY, and became deathly ill. now she is chronic. so, in her med records, there is documentation of her being infected in FLA.

They seem to want to use our board for there theories not fact yet not set in stone so to speak. Dont get me wrong I want to here these other things that could possibly help us Lyme patients. But not take over, cold hard facts are what we need, not just opinions or theories presented as a matter of fact.Unless presented as such.
I know people are enthusiastic on something that helps them and (may) help others key word MAY In love I post this not for any other reason I just want newbies and people that are not aware of whats out there to be protected.

Tree, maybe I'm just dense, but I still don't know what it is you're getting at here. Could you tell in a little less coded fashion, what it is you're talking about?

I just love these Florida ducks - there is no Lyme in Florida. What - do we have a net over the net and the ticks can't come in...do we have something at the state lines that says NO TICKS allowed. They are to lazy to PRACTICE medicine....they want to make a quick diagnosis and a quick buck and move on!! Joan
