I found a great site at www.freecycle.org The purpose is to keep things out of the overfull dumps by recycling everything anybody else wants. It's a great idea and IMHO something Lyme patients would benefit from...and it's really free.

They're in every state in many cities, large and small, and you can start one in your town. There are few, if any, responsibilities to the group.
