Heya everyone, hope your all having a good day..

Well i got my scope done on thursday and everything went well, doc said i have gastritis...from what..i dont know. But atleast i don't have ulcers!

On monday im supposed to be getting my gallbladder out, however i don't know if its going to happen. I caught a nasty head cold from the hospital...i know its from there because my friend who brought me for the procedure, is also sick with a cold now.

Hopefully it'll clear up by monday so i can get this done and over with so i can go back onto treatment and stay on it lol. Man ive had a lot of ups and downs but its okay, i still keep that glimpse of a light at the end of the tunnel in sight..

I just wanted to let everyone whats going on with me, i was supposed to get surgery yesterday but it was my mother birthday, so i wanted to be able to celebrate it with her, so i postponed surgery..yes im crazy.

Im going in on monday at 8am...hoping all goes well and i don't have too much pain.

Love ya all!
Korinne

Korinne

I just had an upper endoscopy last Friday and was diagnosed with inflammation of the small intestin, esophagus, and stomach. GI guy said gastritis also GERD and a hiatal hernia.. I will also be having an ultra sound done to see if I need my gallbladder out as well.. Are you having laproscopic to get the gallbladder out? Im a little scared to do surgery because I've been sick so many yrs with Lyme and co infection. Afraid of how my body will react.. Please let us know how you make out.. Will be thinking of you...

Hi Korinne - good to hear from you. Yup, I thought you were gettin' that puppy out yesterday...glad you got a little reprieve, albeit a short one!

Hope that cold clears up. It sounds from most folks' stories like you're not gonna miss your gallbladder too much and you'll be glad to be back rocephin'ing soon. Hang in there! Keep us updated!

Hey Kori
*waves*

I hope the cold's all gone by monday and you can get this over with. Best wishes for a speedy and least painful procedure and recovery.

Um...you may not want to take tutu's lead on this one.

I hope all goes well with your gallbladder surgery. I had mine taken out at age 24, pre lyme ( 7 stones)

I always warn people of this, becasue I was NOT warned, not even by my surgeon:

I woke up with what looked like a colosotomy bag taped to my stomach and draining god awful colors. I immediately freaked out, then tried to rip it out.

They do this when there is poison in your gallbladder that needs to come out. I certaintly was NOT aware of this! It didn't hurt or anything, and didn't even require a stitch when it was removed a day later. I just got a band aid over the bag area. The laparoscopic removal, I got staples for them.

Im sorry to hear about the gastritis. One thing that can cause that? Antibiotics. It's a necessary evil though!

Good luck to you
