Greetings all,

Here's the protocol that's working for me:
6 tabs of Dr. Zhang's Allicin (hepapro.com), and 6 full droppers of Samento. This is divided twice daily (3 & 3). This really works.

Many months of antibiotics (Zithro and Doxy) curtailed symptoms, but raised liver enzymes. Judging from my difficulty tolerating all that, imagining 6 months on things like Flagyl, one tries alternatives first...

And wouldn't ya know it, this formula works better than all!

Thoughts invited...

Doesn't surprise me, trixter. Zhang's garlic could knock a buzzard off a poop wagon at 20 paces. Nothing could survive that stuff ! [Big Grin]

Welcome Ticktrixer,

I'm glad you feel you are having success. I've been taking the Zhang protocol for babesia which does inclue the Allicin (garlic) as well as the artemesia, circulation P and AI#3.

With this protocol I started out with Amoxicillin and now I'm on Cipro for the Bart but have been taking the Zhang the entire time.

Do you have an LLMD or are you trying to treat this yourself? Give us some details.

How long were you undiagnosed? How long have you used this treatment?

Cathy

Hi Cathy et. al,

To answer the Historical question, this goes back to a clear lyme infection many years ago on Cape Cod, tic bite, rash, fever the whole thing, the doc at the med center prescribed a couple of weeks of Ceftin, which helped, but I don't think I ever fully recovered, just sorta dragged my semi-achy self around for like 8 years!

Could be successive bites over time finally caused a total Lyme dysfunction about 2 years ago which I couldn't shake-- very positive Elisa and blot, plus Babesia to boot!

The LLD started with Doxycycline, which helped but was no way curative, even after months, then a month of Zithromax, which was fab but not tolerated well at all. The next phase is to be rotating high doses of things like Flagyl, etc.

If it comes back, I'll certainly go for the full meds, but I have the feeling these long courses and high doses of antibiotics are kinda toxic and of possibly comprimised effectiveness because of the nature of the bug and it's defenses, etc.

In fact the LLD wouldn't allow more meds just yet, as I had some liver enzymes show up after that last round (Zithro was not my favorite experience).

I once heard these spirochetes live even in your fingernails-- think how hard it is to cure a toenail fungus-- meds just don't get certain places very well, so the bugs wait out the storm and reinvade.

I think the Babesia was knocked down with the various Quinine-type drugs I took with the Doxy, which is probably helping the Allicin to work.

This Allicin makes very much sense due to it's abaility to travel across barriers (sulpher compounds, like DMSO)-- you can smell it in all pores a bit after taking it-- antibiotics may irritate the buggers, which then they hide out as we know-- this allicin is apparently very toxic to bacteria, and most of all gets absolutely everywhere fast (blood-brain barrier apparently no match for sulpher compoinds, I'm no chemist, but that's the explanation I've gleaned from Google)

I think the Cat's claw is pretty major for immune boosting, but isn't curative alone (in my experience), I've taken samento for over a year, and at 1 dropper per day was as good as Doxy.

It's the allicin that's making this work so well, I'm a big skeptic, but the positive effects are Huge! The LLD always asks what my % better is, today I can say I'm staying at 85% of good, solely due to this protocol.

I know all too well the consequences of doing nothing, the lyme can and will come back full-force, might as well retire. I don't think for a minute it will just sorta get better like a cold with some misc. immune and med therapy. It's indefatigable!

I'm hoping the Allicin isn't toxic, but so far so good. No side effects whatsoever (aside from fire-breathing).

I highly recommend, before people risk ruining their liver or getting neuropathy on Flagyl, why not go for this garlic/Cat's Claw combo-- it ain't cheap, but I'm bowled over by it's effectiveness--

Honestly I didn't want to even get out of bed for two years (no matter the meds), almost lost my business, etc. I'd feel better, but it would just come back. I had some weird psych symptoms, reversing phone numbers, depressed, etc.

Now all that's gone, feel like I'm coming out of a major fog of the last two years (which i don't even remember much of, what a very weird bug indeed!)

About the Samento: I say forget about measuring out drops, dose the full dropper-fulls, 3 of them, 2x/day.

Abot the Garlic: It's gotta be Zhang's Allicin (no I'm not working for him!), I have a whole case of Allimaz, and maybe it's great, but somehow I don't feel nearly as 'garlicky' as on Zhang's version (no idea why, same dosage, etc.) Definitely don't waste time with any Kyolic or other preps of garlic, its the Allicin that's new.

I hear ALlicin doesn't survive the digestive tract well, so only a very little bit is actually getting into the body, maybe they should make a cream!

Of course please nobody follow my protocol if there's any risk of anything bad happening, it's just so effective, and I was previously such a mess, so I had to communicate.

Does anyone know if the Allicin can be toxic, am I going to lose my hearing or something? I plan on taking this for a full year until this thing is history and every last one of these buggers is toast.

Sorry for the long post!!
