I was reading his journal. He writes in it for school once a week.
Dear Mommy,
I want you to get better quickly because I miss you at my swim meets. You are the pretty mommy with the big smile. I know it is hard for you to come but I know that you will be there just as soon as you can.
Trust in Our Lord, Mommy. He will get you better. I talk to him all the time and we have an agreement. I just wish he would hurry. He hugs me every night and told me to hug you every morning. I know it hurts you sometimes when I hug but He told me to do it so I am going to keep doing it.
You told me that God cannot tell a lie. He told me that you will be okay. So don't worry, Mommy.

That is so sweet!!! What a wonderful child.
It's so sad that children have to deal with their parents being sick. I feel so bad for my son when I can't do the things I feel I should be doing with him.
But I try as much as I can. And I remember how blessed I am to have a wonderful son.

I truly believe children see and hear things that we adults filter out.
My daughter sees Angels. She told me that God had the bluest eyes.
Very descriptive about what He says and what the Angels do.
What a blessing and what an incredible little boy.
I truly believe this will happen for both you and your little boy.
Believe.
Hugs,
Geneal

lily, that was beautiful; a 7-yr. old wrote this!! unbelievable. tears are still streaming down my eyes.
next time you hug him, tell him he's getting an extra hug/kiss from mommy's lyme online friends!
loved all he had to say about God, etc.
you've raised a fine little boy with A BIG HEART!

That is so sweet and unreal. My 12 year old avoided me for a year and wouldn't look at me or talk to me because he thought I was going to die, so he just detached.
We finally got that out in the open. So heartbreaking.
Our children are the most innocent and ravaged victims of this illness.
