Did anyone else catch this?

So it was only one sentence from Lidsey Lohans character about how she's always tired and thinks she might have lyme, but hey that's something.

And if they expand on her character and the illness, that could be really great exsposure for us and our battle!
[woohoo]

Just cruising through here and can't beleive someone didn't respond to your post, Tabby.

I caught that bit on Ugly Betty, too, and had the same thoughts. It would make a good side story.
They are now filming in NY. Anyone have contact with a producer of the show?

I will see if there is a website where one can comment.

It was on that "House M.D." show.

They were ready to do some very invasive procedure on this kid and House stopped them.

He said to look for a bulls-eye shaped rash on his scalp since they couldn't/didn't see it elsewhere. Sure enough, they showed it onder the kids hair on his head!

That was it...everyone was convinced the boy had Lyme, and were all very relieved (B/c Lyme is so easily treated?) and the show ended.

Maybe less than 1/2 patients show an EM. Lyme is also not a easy disease to deal with or treat like they mad out on the show.

If you ask me, they failed in two aspects of an accurate depiction. The rash, and the severity.

Still perpetuating ignorance.

I saw that "House" one too. It was weird that having Lyme seemed to solve all his problems quickly - maybe even the huge facial tumor??? Maybe House knows something we don't about Lyme??
Nah!

They showed the kid all handsome and cured as though it was two days later - it would have taken him months to recover from the surgery needed for that tumor.

Amazing!
