Wanted to know how many Lyme sufferers are experiencing hair loss. My hair changed texture early into my symptoms & every since then have had a lot of shedding. Past year hair loss has increased. Hair getting thinner & thinner! So frustrating! Someone said it could be blood pressure meds causing it but have been on it for 4yrs why would all of a sudden cause hair loss? I have had lyme for bout 10yrs now. Any one else having hair loss problems? Did you find a solution? Our hair is so much a part of our identity especially for a woman. Please help!

Hi Terry,

Yes, at different times I have experienced increased hair loss. When my symptoms flair and at the beginning of this relapse, my hair loss was greater.

I was treated years ago and lost some hair then too. After the other symptoms were gone, so was the hair loss.

I also know that thyroid issues will also lead to hair loss. I know my thyroid is affected when my lyme and co-infections is most active.

Do a search on hair loss, especially in the medical section. You have a lot of company in this area.
