Does anyone have a Health Savings Account as an alternative to a regular health insurance plan?
It's so overwhelming trying to decipher what plans cover what and how they compare.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Insurance is raising rates like crazy.
I applied and got health insurance this month.
Same day I get the letter I get a notice than my premium which hadnt started yet,,,is raising 100 bucks a month for the new year.
and they surcharge my regular rate by 67% because I have a broken leg,,,a broken leg????Usually not fatal
And for darn sure not covered as a preexisting condition.
These insurance companies need their pinkies pounded on by government regulation if they dont
start acting grown up and rational and not like 3 year old kid throwing a tantrum.

just don,
That's crazy!!
My head is spinning trying to figure out what the reasonable alternatives are.
I do think it will continue to get worse.

They are all gearing up for the national health care. Gotta get their money while they can. Once we all get this wonderful health care, the insurance companies will go bust.

It has been going up and up for years. Ours (for three people) is now over $700 a month with a ten thousand dollar deductable on each one of us. I hit my deductable for the first time and I worry that the insurance company will find some reason not to pay their share.
A friend that was very satisfied with her insurance that came with her husband's job, has changed her tune. The deductable went form $200 to $5000! She was whinning that if she got sick she would just have to die.
16 years ago, our insurance was less than $150 a month with a $200 deductable. I believe it is just greed driving the market.

Lymetoo and nefferdun,
It's so frustrating isn't it?
We are going to look into health savings accounts.
