I responded to a friend's post on Facebook; her class is doing reports on various diseases. The ones I saw the kids were doing were things like placenta previa and testicular cancer. Um, do high schoolers really need to know about those at their ages?
So I asked my friend if anyone was doing lyme disease; I told her I could give them tons of info and some personal stories.
She said no one she knew of was doing that, but she suggested I come in and talk to the class about it.
So I guess she may speak to her health teacher and we'll go from there!
