My daughter has been on IV abx for four weeks now. I asked her today if she thought her symptoms were getting any better.
She said that she can tell it's helping. Usually, if she is feeling really fatigued, she won't try to drive. She said that now, even if she feels tired, she still feels like she has enough brains to drive some.
To a Mom's ears, that like magic. We have been dealing with LD for a LONG time. I love it when I feel like we are hitting it hard and something is working.
I know that we still have a long way to go, but I am so thankful to our wonderful LLMD who saw the need for IV's.
Right now our insurance company is still "reviewing" our case. In the meantime, they have approved one more week of meds.
We are gearing up for a fight if they deny us. We will continue to pay for her treatment out of pocket if we have to but it would be nice if we can get them to pay for some of it.
I just wanted to share what I thought was good news.

There is nothing better than hearing good news from our kids.
I am so happy for you. Tuck it in your heart and revel in it, it is the balm that soothes our mother souls on the tough days.
