Hoping to add a picture later.

Tis the season when most of us over do it. Hoping this month is a good one for all of us.

And we are able to do more than "lyme normal"

Peace, love and caring -

They made it to the top of Half Dome to watch the sunrise. (Who they are, I don't know)

What are your goals this week??

Yep. Over did it this am.

Drove Rosie on the dirt road in the forest to let her run.

1st able to get dressed and take her out for her 1st thing in the morning outing via the power chair in the field next door.

Not always able to get up and get dressed so that was good.

Decided to stop by a thrift shop I pass on the way home. Looking for vacuum. They had 3 but none of them seemed right.

They also wanted $35 which I thought was a bit much.

I was on my feet in the thrift shop...kind of..leaning against walls etc.

Able to pick up a block 3 piece Christmas Train Set to put outside my front door.

Hoping to see how it looks later...my vision was going fast.

Walked into another thrift shop and got help with the vacuums. They had one for $10. I took it.

not sure it is a good deal or not but it is for the human society so a win win

I did noticed the bag needed emptying and the rollers needed cleaning. Don't know when I will be able to do this.

And it is most likely a very old vacuum. But, the engine sounded good.

Difficult to make purchases when you only have half of a piston firing.

Hurting now although I have been laying here a while.

not sure when I will improve enough to get up and get breakfast.

They had what is called a bag sale at one of the places. The parking lot was full at opening time...actually before opening time.

The place was packed in the clothing area.

Saw a lady heading towards the children's clothing.

The people seemed to know the routine. There were bags at the check out counter.

They walked in and got a bag and filled them with clothes.

I thought it would be fun to stand at the bag counter and hand out $5 or $10 or ? to the ones who were shopping for kids if I had the funds.

maybe some day I will. Ho Ho Ho.

I am done Christmas decorating. I spent about $4.00 on the front door and $3.00 on the hallway door.

That was fun and easy peasey. Better than trying to get into my storage and find my Christmas decorations.

Really not able to do that nor would I but able to put things away when needed.

I do miss a Christmas tree that smells like Christmas.

Maybe next year....a small one that just needs a few lights and a few ornaments.

Anyone know what kind of tree that is that has the pine tree smell?? I know some do and some don't.

I need to get up and take some bayer extra strength to help with the inflamed brain ....not bad...but enough that the pressure is too much.

I saw that excedrin migraine was on the shelf at Safeway. Hoping excedrin extra strength willl be on the shelves soon too...that one works better for me for some reason.

Thanks Kam for starting this week's thread!

Had a rough weekend, bad, bad headache.

No exercise today went to scheduled doc appointment. Headaches might be from shoulder issues. It would figure.

Using a wedge for a pillow hoping it'll help. You can't lay flat and I didn't have a headache this a.m.

Hoping I can workout tomorrow.

My goal for this week is to make sure I get food and hydrate

I am going to need to start keeping a log as I am back to not recalling if I ate or if I took meds/supps.

I do have a pill box now. I am just wtg for health to be doing well enough to fill the pill box.

kam-balsam trees are supposed to smell better and the ones i have in my yard in the mts do...but i boght a supposeably balsam arrangement for the house-my christmas-hoping it would smell good but it doeant

i actually have a tote outside fullof year old balam needles...i have been moving it everywher i go hoping to make sachets or something that smells good...i might get out there and just put some in a bowl..i love that smell too and it doesnt make me sick

ak-that sounds awful. hope it keeps feeling better

i did some exercise today and i am really tired. first i drove to sears-about 1/2 hr away-and picked up a music machine-dont know what they call them now---it does a lot-radio, cd, ipod, mp3...i might be missing something

i love music and have never had a really good system. the last 6 months have been ruff. i told my oldest since i was going to have to live so frugally to fix the plumbing i was going to take 100. and hopefully buy a music machine for myself.

he called it in to sears-paid for it-and said it was for chrismas. he usually makes everyone cranberry breads. i am very lucky to have him

but my exercise was...and it was a lot...taping off the whole front yard so dig-safe can come and mark where pipes are so plumbers can find them.

it was a lot of walking and pounding stakes into the ground...and clearing xtra stuff away.

i also had PT and did not hurt after and gained many inches of range

the PT asked me about lyme and we talked an hr about it...cant say all but it was good - he ends up with many undx lyme paiendts ...long story. im giving ilads site so he can educate himself. he sees how impaired i was but it felt good to have a smart person pick my brain and respect my knowledge

my hands hurt too much from taking notes yesterday...i cant write with a pen now.

i also threw the ball for etta a little...and chased her with a rake...she had fun

Plans for the week? First, find my notebook to write down plans.

Took from last Monday to Sunday, but we got up two trees and decorated them. Yay! Love the calming effect of the lights.

Going to get those dagnabbit greys covered tomorrow. Haven't had a cut or color in almost four months. Accepting the fact that it will wear me out.

Baking cookies...got my list of ingredients I need, so to the store on Wednesday. I confess, I like going to the commissary with DH. Hopefully can make 1-2batches each day.

AND....my daughter's Choir Holiday Spectacular is Wed-Sat, so I'm praying for stamina to go see her show at least one of those days.

Happy 60th to DH on Friday, so I also have a cake to bake!

Read what you all posted but teflon brain...nothing stuck...so i'll reread when brain is working better.

Over did it yesterday morning so looks like today will be a down day.

Just getting Rosie out to toilet this am via the power chair did me in.

Freezing out there. Time to get my hat and heavey duty gloves out.

I thought of that the other day and then completely forgot about it.

Moving the body to get them out now is out.

dove...i tend to find the notebook, write down the plans and promptly lose the notebook again...

sorry ak

glad you got out kam

ive been having extra musc spasms after PT and am thinking i will have to go back on skelaxin for awhile. i rarely have to use it as long as i take my mag.

bummer to get neckpain from movies...since youve been going ive been thinking i shoud do that...maybe not. ,aybe i should get organized and pay for them at home so i am in the recliner with heat and ice instead of popcorn

soooo. MY exercise:

lifted weights(laundry)

walked on road near beach-with etta-but only about 10 min-but really good waves so breathed deep in and out and it helped a lot

then-we sat in the car(warm) very close to waves and breathed for another 1/2 hr.

then at home lifted again-groceries in garbage out.

im ready to relax but am having very wierd sharp pain under ribs on left side...hope its nothing...

nite.

Not sure how I am doing with getting food, meds and supplements in me.

Wtg until I am doing well enough to type it out so I can remember.

Big grouch this am. Don't look at me wrong. HA!

MOstly because of the pain.

I was able to take Rosie out to toilet via the power chair. Felt like crying and throwing up as body is well..not painfree and not strong.

But, started feeling better after I just sat there awhile and let the chair move my body.

Caregiver is coming this am. I was not a happy camper last time she came. Hoping things will be better this time.

I really like it when I am doing well enought to do a few things while she is here too.

I get grouchy when I can't get things done and what she does isn't how I would do things.

I put on the list to scrub the top of the trash can lid and to scrub the spills in the frig.

Things I would do if I saw them while working in the kitchen. Things that don't bother her.

ah man, another who over did it yesterday.

his nephew is coming thursday for several days.

i started on our bedroom. did miniblinds, pictures, windex the glass tops on furniture then waxed the furniture, did the ceiling fan. swiffered the door.

then did our bathroom which is right off the bedroom. tub, sinks, mopped floor, toliet, swiffered the lights, windexed mirrors.

THEN (STUPID), on to dining room. emptied china cabinet and redid that, cleaned glass, took chairs out and vacuumed rug under table, then sat down and waxed the table, did the mini blinds, then did all the chairs.

THEN TO MAKE IT WORSE. mopped kitchen.

AND, started on den. cleaned the leather furniture, vacuumed the den, front bedroom, hall and back bedroom.

and that's when i said uh oh......

so i went to bed at 9 and laid there in pain all night long. i have vicodin but wouldn't take it.
took a warm shower and that didn't help.

i think i'd better get back to walking. quit for awhile.

i keep trying to act like i'm normal but i'm not.. i did this every month when i worked but i just can't not anymore.

i used three swiffers and my vacuum bag is half full. the house needed it but i sure didn't.

Wednesday-Just read everyone's posts and they made me smile.

Well, I struggled with 24 minutes on the stair climber, arm workout, leg lifts and that ab video.

Walked Rocky around the back of the property.

Still not feeling well. Am trying not to get to worried.

Am taking the day off tomorrow to go to court with my nephew, Josh. He had an auto accident in which he was the one at fault. Am hoping the other passengers are ok. Will let you all know Friday.

See you all then!

oh i did PT exercises too...they are starting to add up and take some time-4 now

on the news they said it would be an awful flu year---in middle of country somewhere hundreds of kids in school have it...hope that is not what you have ak...

kam.. I hear ya on not being able to do things and then having someone else do it. I'm such a perfectionist that it drives me crazy. Believe me, I've had to give up a lot of that perfectionism!! Do it or die!!
[bonk]

Went to the neuro today. He's a really nice doctor. Amazing to find a compassionate neuro who totally understood about my having had Lyme disease that went untreated for years.

He said it affects the entire body, all systems. ( I was like "NO DUH! ) .. but he was great. Amazes me every time I find a Dr here who actually gets it.

He apologized for not really being able to help me. There are so many drugs I've tried and just can't take. So we're trying Tramadol again. We'll see. He also gave me lidoderm patches and offered to send me to pain management.

We talked about it and we agreed that narcotics were not something my body can handle. He also understands about the Sjogren's making it hard for my stomach to handle certain drugs.

Good man!!

Today my husband came downstairs twice! This morning for a cranial treatment and this afternoon for a foot detox.

Said he felt better this afternoon until he ate supper. Our daughter made supper and tried a recipe from a new cookbook. Something in it didn't agree with him.

Hopefully tomorrow goes even better.

Feeling a bit more human this am. I still have that feeling like I was hit by a truck and I am on anotherh planet where the gravitational pull is heavier.

Able to put away a few dishes, fill the sink with more dishes, finally get a down comforter in the wash.

Resting now, then I will put it in the dryer. Went down the hallway to the laundry room in my PJ's.

Didn't get caught although someone was all ready using the other washer this am.

Gabapetin and generic biaxin was refilled yesterday. I slept last night....whewph.

I also put ice packs on my biceps and the other side of that part of the arm last night.

It helped.

But, as soon as I started using the arm again this am the pain came back....

Manna...i still have to watch what I eat and it needs to be something easy to digest and easy to swallow and chew.

It is tricky. We need nutrition to get well.

Tutu...I went back on tramadol. Dehydration is worse but I saw a recipe for fresh squeezed lemons, sea salt and hone drink that is helping.

I take it twice a day...the prescription is for 3 times a day..sometimes I do three.

I take it along with gabapentin. It is a tricky med for me..it seems like it is not helping until I go off of it.

I hope it helps you.

Kayak...sounds like a good day with your dog. [Smile]

ALW...hope you are feeling better soon.

I'll be back to catch up with what else I missed later. Fading fast now.

tutu...constipation is also an issue with tramadol at least for me.

I still am trying to over come that one....my usual methods: carrot juice, apples, vit c, etc

But, have yet to find out what will work daily. As I am typing this I need to get more vit c in me.

Hurray. Able to do the 5 min in the forest, rest on a log and then 5 min out.

I was there but not there. Focus was watching the feet and moving my foot at a time.

Lookign forward to when health is strong enough I can look around me and not even think about my feet.

big Boulders blocking the dirt road I use to take with Rosie. I would drive and she would run.

As I am typing this, I need to see if they blocked another entrance I know of to this dirt road...I will have to turn around and head out the same way but at least I can get in that neck of the woods with the car.

They have 3 entrance ways blocked off now with large boulders.

it really is a good thing because there was some night life going on there which needed to be stopped.

You could see where people were having campfires and drinking beer and leaving the cans at the campsite.

The work crew also worked on protecting the water pipes they put in....2nd try on this one.

And hauled out a big stack of dry wood that had been cut that was not fire safe which is good.

Looking forward to the dry creeks running with water and snow on the ground.

I was cold this am and had my down, knee link coat on over my PJ's when I went on the walk in the forest.

A guy passed me by and said what are you going to wear when it really gets cold.

My hands were freezing..I forgot to put on my gloves and hat.

Again....a statement from what must be one of those "normal" people.

ARGGH... took the tramadol twice yesterday. Pain was a bit better .. except for my neck pain.

BUT.. today I feel dizzy and my stomach is already suffering. The tram really dried me out too. SIGH!

The dr is concerned about my continual use of Tylenol. So today I have not taken anything for pain. Trying to see how long I can go without.

Since I feel dizzy I haven't tried the lidoderm patches yet.

Ugh Tutu.

I also have been working on cleaning out my email acct.

I had 450 msgs in my inbox at the start of the week.

I now have 250

I have been trying to unsubscribe to most of them. I just can't keep up with them.

I recall when I first got sick having 7 emails in my in box was usually the norm. [Smile]

One tip on that, kam. Click on "FROM" at the top and it will put all your emails in alphabetical order.

Then it's easy to delete ALL the facebook stuff, all the spams, etc. Much easier.

I have over 700 emails in mine. It hurts my neck to click too much at one time .. so I delay and delay.

Today my husband had a better morning.

Spent time out soaking up the sun, then spent time out in his office. Went back to bed for the rest of the day.

Cranial therapist stopped by this afternoon and checked if he is still "in sync"... He is!!

Had trouble that he wasn't staying in sync. Not sure why. Going to try a few "team day" treatments where two or more therapists work on him at once. Seems to get better releases that way.

kayak...it is nice to have clean hair....a treat now. [Smile]

I want to shoot those workmen in the knee for taking 40 min to tell you they can't help you.

But, I know it is the lyme that makes me this way and not them.

Sorry, they couldn't help and that it took so long for them to get to the bottom line.

Manne...soaking in some vit d sounds good.

Tutu..I haven't tried the from thing..worth trying.

I noticed I have 250 or more on the gmail acct. Ugh...that added up fast...that one doesn't have a lot of junk stuff...it is mostly emails from people so need to figure out why I have so many and what I can delete.

My brain is not working well enough yet to day to start with that.

Oops. Almost forgot why I came to this post. Able to wash a few dishes this am.

Load up power chair and go to grocery store.

Resting now then will drive Rosie out to the forest to let her stretch her legs wwhile I drive.

it is getting tricky. The place I take her now has a guy wtih two aggressive dogs that show up now and then so I have to make sure they are not in the area first before I let her out to run.

250...ha ha..you wimp kam! i have 1765...went back to check after i read your post. my email acct is my file cabinet.

man...i dragged myself out of bed at 9 to get ready for more workmen(replacing propane tank) at 1.

i really only have to make sure two small rooms are accessible for them but it took me to now...2 1/2 hrs to do that cuz im so slow. i slept well but both knee and shoulder hurt today...had first pt for knee yesterday...

so...it may be my exercise is just clearing space for the guys today=oh yeah-and taking down the tape i had to put up for dig-safe. that was so hard for me and then to get told they cant do it. i had to hire a "locator" to find my lines. starting price is 290. if there is a clog 115. and then the more problems the more money...that is scheduled for tuesday pm

i try to stay away from emfs but i am really craving a heating pad on my back spasms. i have the things you put in the microwave but i have to keep getting up make them hotter.

im not even sure why im here this early...hope everyong feels better andhas a good day!!!

Doing my Friday dance! [spinning smile]

Did my leg lifts, arm workout, ab workout and 25 minutes on the stair climber.

Walked Rocky around the back of the property.

Feeling better, doc thinks it's my shoulder injury causing spasms. I've got a new rx for Tramadol too. Haven't filled it yet and am a little reluctant in trying it, but I might give it a shot.

Yesterday at court no one showed up on the prosecution's side so Josh's charges were dropped. No improper left turn ticket or anything. What a huge blessing. We were relieved because we think it means that the other party wasn't seriously injured or someone would have been there.

Glad to read that everyone here is doing good and hope everyone has a great weekend!

I finally got brave enough to put one of those lidoderm patches on my foot. Not sure if it's helping. Maybe.

I somehow injured my pinky finger on the left hand. OWWW!!! I jammed it between the freezer and refrig doors.. Figure that one out!!! I can't!! Somehow I partially opened both at the same time.

My pinky is hot and a bit swollen. Pretty sure it's not broken or cracked.

AKL....YEA!!! [Smile]

tutu-it might be broken i did something like that when throwing firewood into the cellar thru a window. i splinted it with a popsicle stick and tape. i couldnt stand not to...

and ice helped. hope you figure it out...

ak-glad youre a little better-but i thought you were like sick with flu or something-not just the shoulder.

my memory is still messed up.

i played outside with etta a little and walked the front yard to gather all the red tape-and chased the mailman down the street cuz he skipped my house andi had a card for my daughters bday. i have been writing and texting her but she hasnt replied since she hung up on me,

its really hard for me to worry too much about it when i am always dealing with house stuff.

they guy replaced my propane tank-he was nice seemed competent...but 3 hrs later i started to smell propane again. this is really gettin old. i just turned it off...i guess i could go outside and turn it off too.

i ordered a propane detector and will have it in 3 days. i dont want to call them again on the weekend if i am wrong...its not too cold andi can sleep in camper if it gets cold here.

right now im cooking a bunch of stuff so i can eat from freezer and microwave if tuesday the water gets turned off for awhile

i never used the lidocaine pache they gave me...i am using the heating pad now ...it feels so good and listenting to patsy kline on the music thingy my son got me. it was the only cd i could fined...CRAAA...ZEEEEEE.........

Since I don't have a clue as to where my heating pad is I used ice last time. Thankful it worked.

Able to drive Rosie out to the forest....

ADD and anger were getting to me.

So, decided I would try walking down the dirt road....able to be on my feet 7 min...kept looking for a stump or rock to rest on but couldn't find it.

Getting up now to get clothes out of dryer.

Tried putting laundry away but was not successful this am...maybe later this afternoon the body and brain will co operate.

My pinky seems to be OK today. A little sore.

I DID do some laundry yesterday!! YEEHAAA!!

I also made some bone broth. Cooking is hard when my neck hurts. Hubby helped me strain it.

Now we need to work on the Kombucha tonight. I just love that stuff!!!

kam... I hope you let all the anger out. I can feel for you on that one. I've been angry and sad this week. Had a meltdown on Wed after getting back from the neuro. Felt better by the next day.

CRY it out if you can!!

[group hug]

9:05 on the computer clock. Just finished making a Salmon STuffed Gren Peeper dish.

MOre steps than my mind could handle. I have wanted to make it since i went to the grocery store....Fri?

Grn Pepper were gettign wrinkly.

Hope it is good. The bones and skin thing was an issue. Did the best I could.

Cut out as many steps as I could.

Body overheated..most likely 101 temp but no need to check temp..been this way since 2001.

Brain reallly struggled and got the shakes.

Wondering how long it is going to take for me to get back to "lyme normal"

Rosie is going to want to stretch her legs out in the forst soon.

I think that is not a good idea this am. I think I will just take her around the block in the power chair.

Had trouble figuring out when to check the oven..mat skills are gone. It was 45 min

I have learned that a timer doesn't work for me. I don't hear it go off or forget it most of the time.

use to set timer and write on the white board what time to check oven.

Hope it s good. I have half of the ingredients left. I only used 3 peppers. The recipe called for 6.

Out of zip lock bags and foil, etc. Hoping to get to the store soon to get some.

Also did one sink full of dishes before starting dish. Need more counter space.

And I took Rosie around the short blk this am.

kam... Sometimes I set a timer and take it with me if I go into another room. So you could hold it in your lap until it goes off?? I keep it with me since I walk rather slowly now and I can't stand to hear the timer go on and on and on!! [Big Grin]

I sure hope you feel better later in the day.

Did you make the salmon stuffed peppers with canned salmon??

Makes me hungry for salmon patties!! YUM!! Not a favorite of hubby's, but I could eat them at least once a week!!

I haven't made stuffed peppers in a long time either. Making them with salmon sounds good since I've given up red meat.

i missed a day. alot happened...not sure exactly what. iknow it was nice so i dug some holes i wanted to dig

i wanted to get the last of my perranials in the ground and move a few small schrubs and a raspberry plant

i got the holes dug but was too tired to do more so iwent on a drive down by the beach and breathed good air...ive been coughing alot-afraid warm rain weathr is making mold come back

one night i had insomnia...i have to re-pour my armour and cortef or i get mixed up-but after 2 hrs of not sleeping i got up and painted half a bedroom floor. i had been waiting til we got to the sheetrock but i figured what the heck.

it surprised me my hand didnt hurt the next day...i expected it to

and today i have really been lying around, talked to 2 sisters and an old friend, and spent an hour with the neighbors. i wasnt feeling paranoid so i let etta go and play with the dog that bit her. it was ok. they didnt play a lot-but they did play a litttle and he didnt attack her. since i came home she has been whining and crying(they sound different) to go play with him again.

i still have a few productive things on my list-so told myself after writing this i would get up and do them. clearing out a 2nd bedroom so it is ready for the sheetrock work and maybe finishing painting that floor.

so my exercsie has got to be being on my feet an hr talking to the neighbors and letting etta run...

oh-tutu...find that heating pad!!! i cant believe how much that has helped my back spasms

kam...i know i go in cycles...i sure hopr things get easier for you soon

so wheres ak...out climbing a mountain???

I hope it helps tutu. It helped me when my shoulder or arm hurt too much to move.

This happened 3 times or more. I went to the acupuncture 3 times as I waited for the specialist.

I was fine by the time of my appt w/the specialist and they were talking about surgery.

Not complaining about the cold temps here after reading your day time temp. Burr.
