My employer is requiring me to have an outside infectious disease physician review my case even though I see one of the top leading Lyme doctors who is Infectious disease board certified.

My whole body is in severe pain right now and I know it is in direct correlation to the amount of stress this is causing me.

Basically the payments pay my mortgage right now. I am trying to not play the 'what if' head game, however, that is easier to say than stop doing.

I've been watching netflix almost nonstop trying to distract myself. However, the pain in every joint and muscle of my body, every time I move, reminds me.

Just looking for some calming energies from anyone able to spare a little.

Thank you!

Edessa

Hi Edessa...you are practically my neighbor over there in Eden Prairie. Sorry about your upset...it will all work out though...it always does.

Telling you not to stress probably won't help much, even tho I say it with much compassion...so I will ask the Lord, Himself, to calm your thoughts and settle your mind down to manageable proportions.

We had lovely weather today, huh? This week is supposed to be fabulous out...I hope that you can enjoy it.

What about that awesome lightening last night?...what a show.

It is hard to control our thoughts...but not impossible.

Take care.

I'd say you should fight back as needed and not let them walk all over you, as we know what ID docs can do. Stay on top of what's going on, and see if you can advocate for your doctor to be involved. That's very good that he's board certified in infectious diseases - I think you might be able to use that.

Is it your employer or your employer's LTD company that is requiring the exam?

Are they picking the doctor?

I went through this last December. It was incredibly stressful. While the LTD doctor claimed to be lyme literate he really was on the side of the LTD company.

I urge to not perform any activities that might show that you are not in pain. During the month my exam was scheduled for, I was under surveillance every day of the week. We live in the middle of 10 acres so it was easy to spot them. They would also follow me when I went out.
