This idea has been suggested recently, and might be an alternative to the Rally which now doesn't seem to be happening.
Imagine Dr Jones winning the Valentine's Day surprise visit from ABC to give him Breakfast in Bed! Even if his case has already got under weigh, a media representation of such a respected and well-loved honest man could surely do no harm. It would possibly make those who accuse him realise how mean-spirited they are being. And show the people of America and the world how mean spirited they are. Just because lawyers like to do things away from the glare of publicity, doesn't mean there should be no publicity. How can such an atrocious attack be kept out of the media anyway? The whole nation has a right to know what's going on. Most people, perhaps even the lawyers, don't know how vital this case is. Are the common people too stupid to be told the truth? We have been able to cope with the truth of terrorism, and the enemy being everywhere. So why not let all the information about Lyme, and the battles between the two schools of scientists, out into the open arena. We should not be afraid of the truth.
Please lets all nominate Dr Jones for the Breakfast in Bed award. It really won't be necessary to send your own photo, just send a photo of Dr J. which you can pick up from the following url:
"Dec. 8, 2005 -- Who in your life -- at home or at work -- is deserving of Emeril's breakfast in bed this Valentine's Day?
Tell us why he/she should be surprised by Emeril. Why is this person your hero? Why is this person so loved? Tell us why they are your inspiration, what great odds they have overcome, and why they bring a smile to your face...... ----------------------->"
It's one way of saying thanks to Dr Jones. If you can't afford to donate money then what better way of trying to give him moral support?

That reminds me...I was just thinking that with all of us so sick from lyme..we can't do any walks or runs or bikes....
So I was thinking to stage some sort of rally where everyone showed up with beds and pyjamas. And stage a very relaxed lyme support bed-in.
hee hee!

I sincerely hope that all sorts of support for Dr Jones will take place - the rally, breakfast in bed and lots of letters to newspapers.
Dr B has described how much difference it made to him, knowing that hundreds of people had taken the time to do something to show that they care.
