My husband got fired from his job on Friday. He is a workaholic, performed his job well, always got to work in a timely manner and worked 13 hours per day, 6 days per week. Firing him was totally unjustified.
We've been waiting for insurance to kick in for the past 4 months -- I guess the wait was for naught.
This really takes the cake.

Where does he work? Why was he fired when he works so hard? That's so crazy.

I'm so sorry. This is so depressing for the whole family.
Was this the probationery period?
I've heard of people getting fired because a family member's medical bills were too high.

V, I'm dumbfounded on this one! Out of the blue like that.
What were the specific reasons he was fired? Was he a state employee? He'd have COBRA coming for 18 months only on health insurance.
I'd contact your local "legislative" staff for both democrates & republicans especially IOWA SEN. TOM HARKIN since he got the disability program started & implemented.
His Des Moines key staff person, Rob Barron, went to work for him in DC last year. I have his private email. If you are interested, email me; you've got my email.
I just can not believe the "flood/hurricane" of bad things that have happened continuously with you, son, and hubby ... all lyme infected.
No one deserves a break more than YOUR family does V. If you ever want to talk, email me ok. I'll give you every suggestion I can think of.
When I think of your continuous problems, I think of Wisc.'s author, PJ Langhoff's book that I just read & all her legal ramifications.
Best wishes; here's a hug & kiss for you.

Thanks you guys, I really appreciate the kind words.
Hubby works in management in the automotive industry and it's really in a slump right now because of gas prices. Apparently, the owner felt my husband had some kind of magic power over who walks through their door to bring in revenue. Sales are down, so he got the boot.
He was well out of the probationary period.
Thanks for the info and offer to help Betty, I really appreciate it.

Biting Back,
That stinks. Seems like there is always a road block. Thankfully we have a big God who will blast through that road block.
Things will turn around. I am praying for you. Hiker
