Hi All!
Our local coordinator of the July 4th parade and coordinator of their booth/fun games, etc. called me.

Since LDA is non-profit, I will be allowed to set up a table there for all passing by to become educated about LYME disease. I'll use the same poster boards I've used lately.

I'll hand out a little of what I have, but mostly there to show the displays I made up using LDA's 3-4 brochures in there including the TICK CARDS.

For those with email, I plan on asking them for it to send them a copy of my brochure by email. I'll do the writing since I can read mine vs. theirs! [Big Grin]

Hopefully my editing of my lyme brochure I'll have done by then; if not, for the next occasion. I still have some left from the 100 I had printed earlier 1 month ago.

I told her about my chronic lyme, and she will arrange to have me under a tree to prevent as much sunlight as possible and by QUIETER booths vs. where kids are competing in games.

I thanked her for the special accommodations, and she was most happy to know about them to work with me on them!

Wouldn't it be great IF everyone, the court system, the MEDICAL community, and changing the DUCK'S minds acknowledging WE DO HAVE CHRONIC LYME DISEASE!

Must be set up by 10 am - 3 pm weather providing! NO TENTS; I have to bring everything. So I'm just going to bring my lightweight round card table and some handouts. I hope I can last that long due to my extreme fatigue. OH NO, port-a-pottie time! [toilet]
just wanted to share my news!

ADVOCACY: Oh, I forgot to mention, the other day I was told about actor/singer Paul Petersen's web site, who played Jeff Stone on the DONNA REED show. I visited and then emailed him a note.

He's involved in CHILD ACTOR's and a special charity for them. I asked if he knew of any other celebrities involved in KIDS' charities?

I mentioned the incident with Dr. Jones and needing $$ to continue his battle to keep his medical license to treat MORE LYME KIDS!

He'll be in Iowa 4 days this week for Donna Reed's ART/drama classes in denison, Iowa. He/Shelly Fabares come every year now for 20 years.

This is my latest advocacy on behalf of all of us and especially the lyme kids Dr. Jones treats!

That is so great that you are doing this. And that they are being so accomodating!

Good luck - but don't wear yourself out.
