The National Lyme Disease Memorial Park Project
The National Lyme Disease Memorial Park Project has announced the opening of the first phase of the project to the public. The Lyme Memorial web site was created for those who have been touched by Lyme and associated tick borne diseases -the patients who struggle to recover, the family and friends who love them, the advocates, activists and researchers fighting to make necessary changes and the physicians who provide help with steadfast and extraordinary courage.
The National Lyme Disease Memorial Park Project's founder and Executive Director, Melanie Reber of Redwood City, CA, welcomes guests and encourages everyone to take a few minutes to visit the XonlyX {NEW} web site that honors and remembers those who have passed away from Lyme and associated tick borne diseases. They will not be forgotten.

Dear Friends,
Thank you so very much for your expressions of support. This has been a long time coming...and about 7 months worth of work.
But, we are no where near finished. As the website states, this will continue to be a work in progress, so please feel free to continue checking back for updated information, and for more information regarding the Park as plans progress.
I would like to acknowledge that CaliforniaLyme, our Sarah, was actually the first one that I am aware of to put together a listing of TBD fatalities. She continues to work at that project on her own site, and we are also working together in sharing information.
She has been an important advocate from way back, and I have had the pleasure of meeting with her and corresponding over this project specifically recently. Thank you Sarah!
Betty, All text is in Arial and is either 12 or 14 point for easier viewing. Some titles on the `Fatality Citations' page and the `Autopsy- Case Studies' page are bold...
But the rest are as I stated above. I am not sure why you are having difficulties with the type showing up differently on different pages...
Is anyone else having this issue? I would really like to know so that we can make the site as user friendly as possible.
Once again, thank you each, and also special thanks to those who have given their time and efforts to this Project as well!
My best, Melanie

Then why do you have "the only web site that honors and remembers those who have passed away from Lyme and associated tick borne diseases."

Dearest Sarah,
I am so sorry that the announcement went out stating that `it is the only site...' last night before I had an opportunity to review it. I accept full responsibility for this, as I was just too exhausted to write up an announcement myself. Please accept my most sincere apologies.
We all know this is incorrect information. I am certain that it was an innocent mistake, and that Tincup will rectify it immediately.
Once again, thank you for all of your hard work for the Lyme Community.
My best, Melanie

Nope, it views fine in both IE and Firefox, for me, Melanie. I will chesk again just because, k?
Betty, Is it possible it's your monitor? Oh, and I am not whoever you asked about (too lazy to scroll back) or a board member.

Betty, Having looked over it a few times. That's just the way the site is set up at the present time. Many months of extremely hard work have gone into creating the site so far (and not by me, mind you).
I don't know anything about creating a website.
I'm afraid you are just going to have to wait until there is time and energy for these minor corrections to be attended to.
My best suggestion is to file them away and wait until the folks, actually doing the work, are ready and able to take them on. (That's what I would do.)
I do hope you can make out enough to be able to use the site in the interrim (sp?)
(edit: I also think it might be a nice idea to move our conversation about this to another thread or delete it entirely. I'll edit my posts tomorrow.)

Good morning Blue and Betty,
I have just gone through each page on the site in both Internet Explorer, and Firefox...at the highest resolution possible(maybe it is the lowest, anyway, the one that makes everything the largest)...
and I have to say that I just don't see what you are apparently seeing as far as text size variations???
So, it would be imposible for me to 'fix' what I cannot actually see as a problem on my computer, sorry!
Perhaps this subject can be moved to the "Computer questions" area on LymeNet, and some very smart techie there will graciously be able to offer answers and solutions to this issue?
My best, Melanie
Oh, and BTW, ALL text IS in Arial. And IF you did send an email Betty, I did not get it.
