Hi! Just found out that a friend of a friend picked up her dog, after boarding it here in Ft. Lauderdale,Fl.The dog could not even stand up.She took it to the vet and it has Lyme. I don't know if the dog had previously traveled( I am trying to find out). My dogs have ticks,so I treat them with Frontline.I also, pick the ticks off with tweezers and put them in the toilet. I don't think these are the same Lyme ticks...or are they? Atheana

Thanks for info. What do you do with them after you pick them off the dog? Atheana

you can put them in a jar (like a pickle jar) with rubbing alcohol. Then throw the jar away when you have too many.
If you use Advantix you should not be pulling ticks off the dog.

Thanks for great info! I went to my vet for K9 Advantix and she said it has been proven that K9 is too toxic for the dogs.It has actually killed cats. Thanks again. Atheana
