I have read several posts and is there a connection between Lyme and ALS?

Oh, so the sx were the same but not actual ALS. From what my understanding is it is two seperarte disease, however Lyme can mimic.

Mindy,
My mother died from so called ALS. You have to keep in mind that it's just a name doctors have given it.
Looking back (1989) my mother had every single symptom of Lyme.
She was an avid golfer and unfortunately we weren't aware of Lyme back then.
Remember Lyme is a great mimicker.
Why do you ask?

The only reason I even brought is up was I was reading past threads and one was "lyme obituaries. And I saw a thread with ALS...I guess it scared me. I do understand lyme is a hidden disease. Sad....
