Race fan or not... and I am NOT a crash fan... I am a RACE fan....

Check out this race video clip.

Be sure to watch till the end... about 4 minutes.

Carl Edwards ... I thought when he flew through the air going 190 miles per hour and took out the fence on the final lap that he was over the finish line (skidded over it) as the race ended.

He wasn't. Not quite. But...

After blowing apart his car and others behind him by flipping upside down and sideways and becoming airborne, having his car skid 1/4 mile, then catch fire... and unhooking himself from the wreck in a hurry and scrambling out the window....

Look what he did.

And the FIRST thing he said after all that emotion, was directed to his momma and his girlfriend.

As soon as they stuck the camera in his face .... he said...

I just want to tell my mom and my girlfriend I'm ok.

What an amazing young man. Thank goodness he is ok.

And they are going up to about 200 miles per hour.. with inches between their bumpers.

I'm lucky if I can get up to 50 miles per hour and not have 5 train car lengths between me and the car in front of me.

I do not like NASCAR, but my husband follows it and watches all the races.

When this crash happened - even I was glued to the tube. Wow!

It was cute when he jumped out of the car and ran across the finish line! He has a good sense of humor. Glad he was alright, and hope everyone in the aucience was too. They had mentioned some people neededsome care in the audience.
