I just got out of hospital.

What put me in was I could not stop throwing up blood. I was in 9 days and had to have 6 units of blood, and 3 bags of plasma.

This was the closest to death I have ever felt, or come and trust me I have seen some scary things, including my open heart surgery.

It even tops that!!!

They went down my throat and said the bleeding had stopped, so hopefully I am better.

Any prayers will be appreciated, plus pen-pals.

They did blame it on a ulcer, and said it was not bleeding anymore.

It was the scariest thing I have been through-I could not stop throwing up blood!

Thanks for all the responses!

i am so sorry to hear this. yikes, those sound bad.

there was a woman at work and she, too, almost died from a bleeding ulcer. she was off work for over 4 months. she came back but was never the same and finally left.

hopefully this will heal and you'll be all better.

I would think losing that much blood could make a persona tired alone. Besides that all the stress you have been through physically and emotionally definetely would have caused my symptoms to get worse do you think that might be contributing to why you feel worse?

Also another idea - have you started any new meds? some meds can cause fatigue.

I know you're hoping it's not the ulcer again. If you're still sick Monday maybe you should get it checked out.

If it's just bleeding slightly--just enough to make you nauseaous, maybe they could stop it before it gets worse.
