I have decided to have my husband and daughters (5 & 14) tested. My five year old has had a cold, asthma and is complaining about headaches.

This morning she said that she felt an itchy feeling by her ears. I called my LLMD and he said I should contact a pediatric Lyme doctor.

He recommended one in Staten Island, who may be able to recommend someone closer. I posted on the seeking doctor board also.

Should I ask for WESTERN BLOT TESTS for all of them? I cannot imagine paying for Igenix for all four of us. This is getting scary.

The cost of this is scary. Personally i wouldnt waste my time or money with other labs. You want the most reliable. Maybe you could do them one at a time as finances allow? Not the greatest solution but only you know how far the budget stretches. I wish the best for you and your family!

I understand how you feel about the cost. I need to get my baby tested, since I was pregnant with him when I was sick with Lyme (didn't know it then). And just the cost for him and then all the tests I need to do at my next LLMD appointment overwhelm me... but I'll do it. I have to... he may not have it but I'd feel terrible if he did and it got worse and worse because he wasn't treated.
