The pictures of spirochetes transforming into cysts in this paper are worth a 1000 words [Smile]
http://www.lymeinfo.net/medical/LDAdverseConditions.pdf

Just click on "Cystic form of bb and Other Spirochetes: Advanced" to get the 30 page pdf file with pics. You will be amazed at the stealth of this Lyme parasite!!! [woohoo]

Anyway, I brought this paper ("Survival in Adverse Conditions: The Strategy of Morphological Variation
in Borrelia burgdorferi & Other Spirochetes") to my Dr. to argue the case for an additional drug to kill spirochete cysts. ( I want to wait on the intravenous..)

He agreed to try me on TINIDAZOLE ( a cyst buster)for one month with AZITHROMYCIN (a macrolide antibiotic that works to inhibit the spirochete from breeding..) Next month he said he will switch to PLAQUENIL-- which helps to change the acidity level inside the cell so that the antibiotic works better inside the cell.. and it also supposedly busts cysts which are the dormant spirochetes that are immune to antibiotics! (That expalins the term "relapsing fever..." which the military has known about for the past 40 years!)

I have been on the routine now for a few weeks and I my arthritis is better, and my mental fog is cleared up after starting the tinidazole.... wow I'll keep you all posted.... Eye gunk is still there, though...Azithro apparently does not pentrate the eye very well...

If we can sit here and look at these pictures, why is it that Drs have no clue about this? What would happen if we copied these articles and just randomly mailed it to different Drs? Would they then know we need long term abx?

There's also a link somewhere which shows the spirochete changing into a cyst. Have you seen that?? It's in real time.
