How do I say this? Hate to be the party pooper, but I looked into using capsaicin for shingles pain for a relative after reading about it supposed efficacy. I spoke with a top pain manangement specialist (head of dept. major university) who told me that in his experience it actually makes the pain worse. So I don't know...

The hot peppers are cause I am HOT.. not cause of the capsaicin or anything like that...

As a matter of fact.. the capsaicin ... well.. I won't use it. I am too dangerous with it and I have tried it without success. It has managed to "burn me" in places I don't want to be burned.. the last time my eyes got it. So I stay clear of it now.

I REALLY don't recommend it for those in warmer climates either. I tried it in Florida.. a place where your pores are open due to the heat...

OUCH!

I am just about as dangerous with a hot curling iron for my hair. I manage to burn my face, my ears, my skull, and my hands. And I only tried it three times! YIKES!

I tried that capsaicin on my feet. I thought I tried everything. It was not a good thing and I will never do that again.

It really burned like on fire burn. But you don't know till you try it. From what I could tell it affected the nerve and I didn't feel it till probably about 1 hour after I put it on. It kinda creeps up on you. I wouldn't advise it myself.
