does everyone else feel completly crappy when it rains....i feel so much more tired and of course achy..not that the sun feels good on doxy but...just wanted to complain about the RAIN...HATE IT!!!

I'll join in! Looks like were experiencing the same weather system! I hear ya!

Now that I'm feeling better these days, all I want to do is paint the outside of my house! There hasnt been a day in a while where there's been no chance of rain in the forecast... On the few days without rain it's been too sunny for my Doxy sensitive skin. I need a cool, dry, cloudy day...ok ok, Im getting picky...

I, too, felt worse on rainy days when I was very symptomatic. For me, my body temperature used to be like 96.7-97.0 all the time. Rainy days always made me feel chilled to the bone and achy, too. I wonder if the barometric pressure has anything to do with it, also??

i know either too sunny or raining...oh well...i wonder to about the b.p....my ears and head have been full of pressure all day ...glad to hear you are feelin a bit better....i had a burst of energy over weekend..nice to finally mop my kitchen floor..our feet were starting to stick..

It is so gloomy in PA today-we live between York and Gettysburg.Sarah's bones hurt,muscles ache. etc. I am so sleepy! Can't get motivated to do anything-it is nice to have folks on Lymenet to commiserate with, isn't it? Hope we all get a brighter day soon!! Take care....btw, have you found that there seem to be more and more cases of Lme in your areas of PA-seems like everyone is dealing with or or has a friend or someone at work or is wondering about symptoms, etc. Any thoughts?

Hi Sarah's mom, you're not far from me...so sorry about Sarah's health. this is a cruel illness in general, but it breaks my heart that kids are struck down by it. I have 2 with lyme so I know how hard it is to see them go through this.

My observations are, YES, this area is being hit! York county, Lancaster, especially, have been seeing it more. What's scary is that the doctors here are clueless! Everywhere I turn someone has been bitten, diagnosed, or the latest "medical mystery" to local docs. It's sad and frustrating to know that so many sick people around here are not going to get the help they need anytime soon. VERY VERY poor knowledge of lyme in these south central PA counties. Ask the veterenarians (sp?), they'll tell you it's on the rise here....

There is never a good time for this illness, but it is especially hard socially on teenagers. I feel so fortunate to have found out about Dr. J on this site. He is such a gem.Our family doc who we have gone to for about 20 years has also taken a real interest in Lyme (his specialty is sports medicine and he was seeing a lot of arthritis/lyme symptoms in patients) and he joined ILADS last year.So he and Dr. J are working together closely with both our girls; he is very willing to learn and refer all questions and concerns to experts-so that has been really nice-we are learning together.Where do your 2 go?
