It is with the saddest heart that we must pass on the following news. Please join us in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.

The gravesite was piled high with flours. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Buttersworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very "smart" cookie, wasting his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, as a crusty old man, he was still considered a roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough; two children, John Dough and Jane Dough; plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly Dad, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

I think my "half baked" brain remembers reading it a while back. The only perk of having Lyme is that you forget the funny stuff too, so a few months (or days) later its just as funny.

I don't know why so much is made about short term memory loss... I have had Lyme for six years and have never experienced short term memory loss... by the way... what is Lyme?? And does anyone know where my car keys are.

They forgot to mention his grandchildren,
Dough, Ray and Mimi.

And the dreaded, tick-carrying pest he fought so hard against, Dough, the deer.
