Hi,

I received the following web sites re: awareness pins for lyme disease. Just thought I would pass it on.

The first pin I put in my email to you is at http://www.personalizedcause.com/shop/collections/classic/detail/c_green.html

That's the one that is $6.95.

The next one (#2) is cheaper, but only in quantity. The smallest quantity is 5 @ $4.00 each. It can be found at http://www.imprintitems.com/lapelpin.htm

Scroll down to the green awareness pin.

I think if it were me I'd get the one larger pin for $6.95 -- it's a great looking pin.

About a year or so ago, I bought some pins from a man that made them for one of his friends that was a member here. They are a bit 'dressier' - he used green crystals. They turned out very pretty. But they were quite reasonable - I think it was around the $5.00 .

Of the sites you found, I like the first one as well. It's more 'everyday'. The only thing I think we need to do is to thank these people for making these pins but to also let them know we have Lyme Disease, not 'lyme's'....

LYMES: I wonder if it is an area linguistic as in you alls and yous.

It would be great if lymenet would come up with a pin. Then the money would go directly to the website or research, etc.

Kam,

Is there any way the pins can be purchased by mail?

I bought my lyme awareness pin at a funtion sponsored by the Southeastern Pa Lyme Support Group. The name might not be quiet right. They are in Kennet Square, Pa. The pins were $5 and bumper stickers $3.

Hi there,

Here's an actual Lyme Site selling the awareness pins (along with t-shirts, sweatshirts, bumper stickers, pens, stationary etc)...I'm not sure, but I think profits got to lyme disease organizations...but not 100% sure...
http://www.lymesite.com/brite.htm

All my best,
Kira
