Anyone develop muscle twitching and/or restless legs as a result of being on an SSRI's anti-depressant (i.e. Zoloft, Lexapro)?

Have you read any of Terter's posts on myoclonus?
I just found out I have myoclonus. The symptoms first started when I was on Effexor. They stopped about 1 month after stopping the Effexor...although they came back with a vengeance recently.

What does your LLMD attribute the return in symptoms to?
My LLMD just recommended that I stop taking the SSRI for 7-10 days to see if it improves things.

When I first had the symptoms, while on Effexor, my pain specialist said he has known of other patients to get the same symptom on Effexor.
The more recent symptoms my LLMD is attributing to an undiagnosed infection. She does not believe it is caused by the Lyme or my meds.
BTW - I was on Effexor for 2 weeks, and it took a month for the symptoms to stop. SSRI's stay in your system for a while.

Interesting. I'm in a similar situation with an undiagnosed infections still keeping me from getting well. My doctors suspect a second strain of mycoplasma, babesia and/or bartonella.
I've been on Lexapro for almost 2 months now and was on Zoloft since late October with the exception of the month of April. I guess it is going to take a long time to get out of my system.

I just got back from the doctor's office. My LLMD thinks the myoclonus is from a salmonella infection. She switched me from Biaxin to Levaquin. I'll see how it goes.

I developed small tremors from zoloft. I am taking a lower dose now and the tremors have stopped. I tried lexapro but it gave me too many side effects.
I do have twitches and never thought about the zoloft being the problem...

I can't tell what is a side effect and what is the lyme. This disease is so confusing.

Ever read the side effects on your medicine and realize you are having all of those effects without taking the drug?
