hi guys
im back. i have been going on and off this flashboard for the past 9 years. this is my third time on disability - out since april 9th. barely making it - have a daughter who is 23 but just graduated and i support her as well as myself. i began feeling some kind of "relapse" coming on in april and went back to my lyme doc and was put on mycocycline. got worse was on for over 2 months, saw her once a week and paid out over 500 to hear the same thing - stay on meds but no guarantee that disability will pay - asked if maybe i had something else but she didnt seem to think so and did not suggest any tests - due to my frustration i went to my gp who directed me to a neurologist and i went thru a battery of tests including a spinal tap. i think all came back negative which is a good thing because i didnt want lupus, tumor, ms, etc. or positive for lyme but am i insane? the controversy is ridiculous. had to give up my car in order to keep apartment. things r looking bleak but i have alot of faith but sometimes it gets shaken. the docs just dont know about lyme patients who have symptoms years later. i was misdiagnosed for over a year which did not help but no one can answer why this happens, if its permanent or how long this will go on. im going nuts. im alone - daughter isnt the best support because she just doesnt get it i guess but im going nuts. if anyone can relate to severe lyme symptoms that keep popping up years after antibiotics please let me know - i have been on and off harsh drugs including 6 months of the iv for years and i just have to wonder if thats the way to go if u test negative - its so controversial. HELP! maybe i am insane.
symptoms are weakness, dizziness, lyme fog, cognitive problems, walking into things, balance off, severe headache, shekes and anxiety. u know - the norm. if anyone can relate - please write me - i am in need of advice from people who understand - no one i know gets it because they never had it - thanks and have a good day. email is [email protected].
