They too accepted our tainted blood. Here is the reply I recieved when questioning their negligent guidelines.
Ken McGee forwarded your email to me regarding Lyme disease.
Our policy is appropriate as written.
In discussions with an Infectious Disease specialist, clinical evidence has shown that therapy does kill the infectious agent causing Lyme disease.
Symptoms may persist in some patients, but not due to persistent infection.

How nice it is to know that they refer to the ID-idiot ducks when making their policies!
They acknowledge that we may continue to have symptoms but claim they are not caused by Lyme.
I am guessing they think we are all in need of psychological evaluation?
Please feel free to let Dr. Waxman know what you think about his statement.
These ducks are very much in need of education before the kill more people!
Thanks!

Dear Dr. Waxman,
I recently heard from a friend of mine that your blood bank accepts donations
from those who have been infected with Lyme Disease previously.
I am appalled by this!
As a Lyme Disease carrier who has been treated for years to combat the disease,
I can honestly tell you that this specific policy worries me.
Even though I am now off antibiotics and no longer have "active Lyme", I'm uncertain
of ever getting pregnant for fear of passing it on to my unborn child.
As a frequent blood donator previous to being infected by Lyme, I am responsible enough
to have stopped donating blood. The bacteria remains in ones body in more than 90% of the
cases!!! I even tore up my Organ Donor card for fear of infecting someone after death!
I ask you to further investigate on the subject and contact me if you need any resources to do
so. Most Lyme literate MD will back up my previous statement with factual research studies.
At this time, I encourage you to help the Lyme community by altering your current policy.
Best regards,
We will see if I get a reply.
Thanks again!

He wants my doctors contact information.
Should I give it to him?
Will it in some way affect Dr. H negatively?
I need your thoughts on this before I send him a reply. THANKS A BUNCH!
Ask your LLMD if it's ok to give his contact info to this person. I think he'll be fine with it.
