I crave sugar worse now than I have in my whole life before this. I mean, I don't care what it is, if it's sweet, I want it.
I was on Diflucan at one point during my IV treatment last winter but nothing has been specifically said about yeast. I haven't worried about it but it sounds like maybe I should.
Thanks for any responses!
I associate a lot of my pain and intensified symptoms to any sweets I had, so you really gotta be careful.
I am still on diflucan, somtimes that even gives me a herxy feeling. The other thing is the probiotics is a must everyday.
Good luck with the sweet tooth, if you find a way to win this battle, share it with us.

If you are female, the most obvious sign is a vaginal yeast infection. This can come later in the infection though.
Other symptoms are overall itching, itching associated with bowel movements, and a white covering on the tongue.
Symptoms
Spit in a COLD glass of water first thign int he morning before you drink or eat ANYTHIGN. If it grows "stringy" looking stuff, its yeast.
Also, see a good naturopathic doctor. Getting an MD to litsen to youa bout yeast is as bad as getting them to listen to you about lyme. MOst LLMDS will help you with it though.
If you can get this under control, then the cravings will just about disappear. The stricter you are on the diet, the fewer cravings you will have.
Company81....you hit the nail on the head! Increased pain and other symptoms can be associated with yeast being out of control. This is why I say that getting it under control is imperative.
Otherwise, how will you know you're not just having yeast symptoms rather than Lyme symptoms?.....they overlap ALOT!
Also, you are correct when you say that diflucan seems to make you herx. YEP! That is the yeast die-off...very similar to Lyme symptoms.
Here is a link for you. I hope you will take it seriously. If you will follow the diet for three weeks, while also following the other 4 steps to elimination, you will feel MUCH better!
Then you can relax on the diet some, but the more you avoid sugar and simple carbs, the better off you'll be.
Good luck! Email me if you need more help!

My family thought we were "Candida Free" until we started addressing it and realized that MOST of our "Lyme" symptoms were infact Candida and NOT Lyme.
