i think this has become a small obsession of mine. i spend at least an hour a day... a lot of the times more... looking up information on my health trying to find answers. I don't know if it is healthy for me to be doing this. I hope I am not a hypochondriac...

Lazer!! ME TOO.......I loose sleep because of this. (most of the quiet time I have is at night when the girls are sleeping, that is why) I spend hours a day on this site and others, and trying to educate people I know as we speak, I have someone from work calling me about her daughter....never ending. I love to help others or at least I think I am helping. Just by her calling I guess people ARE listening.

I personally think I am addicted to this site, and there is not much I or anyone else could do about it except take away the internet at work and home. Do not see that happening. As you know, many have been here for hours a day X several years.
Hopefully that will not be the case for some, but some are now better, and just trying to help/educate/give support to other lymies.

Hypochondriac, I do not think so. That is just a phase some of go through thinking we are making up some of these symptoms. No, they are real.

Well, I would guess you are like most of us, and that is ok! ~ Amanda

you have to educate yourself

i know what you mean some days im on here for hours...other days i just dont think about it....i know it is going to be with me for along time...some days i just need a mental break and dont seek the info...i think if you dont do that at least for me you go more nuts

i know it is not the best but i put it on the back burner to get a break..

When it comes to Lyme...reading is a must...evidently the medical community has not done enough.Lab 257 is an eye opener and a good book for historical and cover up purposes. The Widening Circle is a good one to give us strength and determination with this battle.

Using the term hypochonriac is insulting and should be banned from the Lyme community!!

Read, read and soak up everything and then pass it along to others who are just starting their battle.

Even hypochodriacs get sick sometimes.

Lack of information is never the answer. I remember recently an interview that was with Rumsfield. He was asked what he thought about such and such. His answer...I dont read newspapers anymore!! Putting your head in the sand (no matter who you are) is never the answer.

Yep, been here for nearly four years! Addicted! But lately I've been feeling so good and busy doing other things, that I haven't had the time to spend here.

I'm with you, Amanda. I LOVE helping others find their way and find their health. It's an elusive thing, but we must keep up the search.......and never be willing to give up!

Keep up the search, lazer! [But also don't let denial set in so that you stop your Lyme treatment...that wouldn't be a positive step.]
