Hi Everyone: There are so many new names on this site lately that I am going to introduce myself again and explain how this bear came about. My name is Lynne and I was dx with Chronic Lyme Disease about 2 1/2 yrs ago. Unfortunatly I have been infected for over 15 yrs and went undiagnosed so I have all the neuro symptoms and many more. There is a company near my home called Charity Bears that creates beanie bears for different charities and I went to them over a year ago about possibly making one for Lyme Disase Awareness. They decided after meeting with me and hearing about my daily struggles with this horrible disease that they would go ahead and foot the bill to make a demo and see what would happen. Well my daughter designed the bear and I am proud to say it is now available for sale. Proceeds from the sale of the bears will go the Research and Development of a Cure.

I want to share here the poem written on the hang tag as you can't read it until you get the bear but it definitly sums this disease up for us all... If anyone has an LLMD who would be willing to sell at their office please let them know so they can order some bears. My LLMD Dr J in Western Pa has already agreed to help us out.

My mom bought me this bear last christmas after i was diagnosed in November. She saw it at my LLMD office and then searched online.
Its so nice to finally hear the story behind the bear.
Mine is still in the plastic so it wont get dirty :-)
