It has been a good year of light work (part time) and doing stuff again. Lyme wasn't really part of my vocabulary much.
I think it was a recent trip to Florida and seeing relatives...and then it was like the
disease just found a way back to me. I became irritable, wanting to rest, rest and rest. I got headaches again and nightsweats.
Now I lay on the couch alot. I can't do much on this Summer break NOW and school starts in a month.
The good things I did do recently was the elimination of mercury, lead and cadmium. I went from a 34 mercury to a 9. (Had those amalgams removed)
I have to take another Lyme, Babesiosis and Bartonella test this week.
Well for me the better was never 100 percent though...I just stayed stable keeping my life light.
Not putting myself through too much.
Dr. H said it looks like I may do ok since I was ok for that long of a period. He will put me back on antibiotics once the test results warrant it.
It looks like some of the same people are here. Hello!!! PaintedRabbit
He ran the tests on me, and knew I needed antibiotics based on my symptoms. Am on Biaxin, Plaquenil and the drug from hell...levaquin.
I had three more bands show up on the recent WB. Not sure what that means.
It is discouraging, to say the least. Makes me worry that maybe my 11 year old grandson may have to go through this, too.
But we will have to think positive, I guess.
I wonder if there are doctors who keep patients on maintenance doses of abx? This is my second relapse.
Here's to feeling better once again for us both!!
Nan
Here's hoping it won't be long before you have it under control again.
GOOD TO SEE YOU!!!!
It has been a long while... glad you had some good days.
You CAN do it again!!!
I KNOW this because I am magic!
We are still here... and waiting to see how we can help.
Lettuce no!
Hope you are on the road to recovery soon!
I missed you all.
I had my feelings hurt at one time by someone and just decided to concentrate on life as best as I could, getting better, my career and move on. It worked for awhile.
I am off the couch today and going to have some more testing by my doctor. I will have the other tests done this week hopefully as I am waiting for the kit from Igenex.
My thyroid is off too. This always throws things off more.
IT WILL GET BETTER....YES, IT WILL, IT WILL...
POSITIVE THINKING IS SO IMPORTANT.
Love ya all and Tincup...I especially love you. My Mom loves you too. She had open heart surgery this past year. And, is doing very well. She would say, "how is Tincup?"

Did ya ever see a milking cow that lived in the mountains?
They leave in the morning to go to pasture... walking crossways along the side of the mountain.
They stand there and eat whatever it is cows eat in the field all day, while standing on the side of the mountain... then return to the barn.. again, along the crossways path.
All their lives they live on a steep slope.. trying not to topple down the hill.
To these cows... that is "normal".
No one told these mountain cows that if they lived in the valley where the ground was flat, they would be better off.
WHY?
Because if they lived in the valley below they could stumble into the river and drown.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What does THAT have to do with ANYTHING?
I am glad you asked...
Whereever we go.. whatever we do...
Sometimes our lives are not what we might expect.
Somedays we are the mountain cows trying not to topple.. some days we are the valley cows trying not to stumble.
But we are ALL cows in the end... and we make the best of what is "normal" for us... and learn to live with it and make the most of it.
I see that strength in you. I do.
And...
Like YOU said..
"POSITIVE THINKING IS SO IMPORTANT!"
You are right! Such a SMART cow you are! Oh my!
And...
I KNOW YOU ... you old milking cow, you.
You are strong enough and tuff enough... and.. I know for a fact that...
You WILL be NORMAL again soon!!!

And please tell mom I missed her words of comfort and advise too! I am soooo happy to hear she got a good deal with the heart surgery...
As long as it is still the same heart she always had. It was a good one.
Please tell her "Teacup" said hi.
(We gotta be more formal when talking to mom's, ya know)
hehehe
I hope the tests results are in soon. And I know you are anxious to see them.. as am I.
But...
Are you absolutely SURE Igenex will test a cow?

I am going to make the cow legacy my own now.
I am!!! I study it and make it my OWN.LOL
I may even share this with some of the special ed kids I will see in September because sometimes they are also sideways on a mountain and I have to bring them back to "the barn". I love stories like these get them going, get their attention and of course make them laugh.
Just hope that I am well enough to make it there....but I will go in sideways if I must.
Only you, my friend could think with such spunk and make a cow story so riveting.
That's your Tincup or Teacup style!!!
It's the way you make everyone smile. I still remember the story when you went to NY for the Lyme convention....I burst so hard it made me (well i can't remember if i actually did the unthinkable)
I better come back on here more often just to see what is going on here. This is "the barn"...
And, of course, I am sure Igenex can tell that I am a cow...It's written all over me.
Ever see a rabbit
Moooooooooowww
